About the Project Developers
CCDF is a non-profit organization that works to advance career services and the capacity of the profession to respond with empathy and skill to their clients and stakeholders in an ever-changing work environment. CCDF is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the field of career development. CCDF has demonstrated expertise in the field of Essential Skills (ES) and has developed award-winning tools to help territorial and federal governments integrate ES assessment and development in the workplace.
From 2011-2013, CCDF partnered with Employment and Social Development Canada’s Office of Literacy and Essential Skills, the Assembly of First Nations, the Métis National Council, and the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami to bring FIMESIP to life.
In 2018 CCDF undertook the current project, Extending Promising Practice: Updating the FIMES Inventory with support from Employment and Social Development Canada’s Office of Literacy and Essential Skills, and a National Advisory Group with representatives from Indigenous and/or Essential Skills-focused organizations from across the country.
