Essential Skills for Aboriginal Futures (ESAF)

Initiative Description: 

This program delivers Essential Skills programming to the Aboriginal community of Greater Vancouver. Program elements include strong employer partnerships and customized training that supports employment & training success and retention. ESAF programs are developed for the Aboriginal learning styles and rooted in all nine Essential Skills. The approach is holistic and the culturally enhanced ESAF curriculum includes TOWES assessment, use of PLATO, one-to-one and group-based instruction in accordance with individually assessed needs and individual continuous learning plans to ensure participants progress and success.
